Head coach Jess Thirlby has warned the rest of the Netball Superleague there is more to come from Team Bath after they inflicted a dramatic defeat on reigning champions Manchester Thunder last weekend. England hot-shot Kadeen Corbin netted twice in the last 30 seconds to snatch a memorable 55-54 away success and make it two wins from two for Team Bath, who visit Surrey Storm tomorrow (7pm). "It was great to beat Thunder on their own turf," said Thirlby. "We had to work hard for it, though, and we're not yet firing on all cylinder – there is still plenty of room for improvement. "This season is a journey for us and we need to keep demanding more of ourselves, starting on Saturday when we have another tough game at Surrey Storm." Thirlby played her part in last weekend's win, shuffling her pack after Thunder had edged the first quarter 14-12 to move Pamela Cookey to goal attack and introduce captain Asha Francis at goal shooter. The tactical change paid dividends as the visitors reached half-time level at 26-26 but, despite scoring seven without reply during the third period, Team Bath went into the final quarter 41-39 down. The gap grew to three points with six minutes remaining but Team Bath again got back on level terms before, with just seconds remaining, a turnover from Cookey regained possession and Corbin netted from long-range to complete a cracking comeback.
