Bradford Renegades pushed holders Bug & Spider all the way before bowing out of the presstoprint-sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout Cup at the semi-final stage. A full-blooded clash saw plenty of chances for both sides but ended goalless after 120 minutes. Mark Smith put a penalty over the bar for Premier Division side Bug & Spider, while Ashley Styles and Sam Jordan both struck the woodwork for Bradford. Neurin Jones hit the post for Bug in extra-time, while at the other end Jordan was denied a late winner by Marcus Lovesey's excellent challenge. But the Division 1 side missed out on a final appearance at Hardenhuish Park after losing the resulting penalty shootout 3-1. Jordan was their only scorer, while Mark Smith, Mark Dolman and Alex T Lewis found the target for Bug. Biddestone Social remain on course for an unprecedented quadruple after booking their third semi-final appearance of the season with a 5-0 win over Division 3 opponents Old Road in Group D of the Subsidiary Cup. Tyler Sibbick hit a hat-trick for Biddestone, who won the competition when it was last staged in 2004, with Dan Lardner adding the other two, Corsham Park Rangers were unable to raise a team for their Group B match at AFC Melksham. An unfit pitch at Bath Road denied FC Colerne the chance of a quick-fire double over Westbury Rangers as the weather claimed the day's only planned SK Fruits Limited Chippenham League Premier Division fixture. Castle continued their rich vein of form to move up to second place in Division 1 with a 4-2 victory over visiting Biddestone White Horse. Jack Hooper's treble and a Dan Sloan effort earned Castle their sixth win on the bounce, with Dan King and Scott Fleming netting for Biddestone.
