Larkhall Athletic girls under-14s went down to a late goal as they were handed a 3-2 defeat by their Frome Town counterparts.
Katie Renwick gave Larks a great start when her solo run from the kick-off ended with a fine finish into the top corner.
Despite the work of defenders Evie Carter and Izzy Lyne, Frome fought back to go in at the break 2-1 up.
With Charlotte Nind playing well and Ellie Ingram having another good game in goal, Larkhall's equaliser did not take long to arrive. Carter played the ball out of defence to Shannon Ross and she in turn fed Renwick, who beat two defenders and the keeper to score her second.
Frome were not to be denied, however, and claimed the decisive goal with seven minutes remaining.
