A café that has served mugs of tea and sarnies since the early Thirties has closed.
The cafe, called the Crowing Cock in Trowbridge's Wicker Hill, in the town centre, was run by the Williams family for generations until around eight years ago, when it was sold to two business partners who also run a bistro in Devizes.
While it is not confirmed, it is understood the premises have been sold and that the new owners intend to create a Chinese restaurant there.
