A man who absconded from Bath Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon has been sent to Bristol Crown Court for punishment.
Daniel Dixon, 20, of Banwell Road, Odd Down, had been given a 12-month jail term yesterday for handling stolen goods.
But when the verdict was read out, he escaped from the court in North Parade Road.
Police were quickly summoned to search for him, and he was eventually found on the roof of the former Bath Press building.
Dixon was taken into custody, and at a hearing at the court this morning his case was sent to Bristol Crown Court to be dealt with on January 25.
