Two Bath primary teachers agreed to a hair-raising stunt to raise money for new computing equipment.
Combe Down Primary School organised the head shavings as it tries to raise £20,000 over three years for an ICT fund.
Four teachers stepped up to the plate and each week the pupils had to vote for the member of staff they wanted to save from the clippers.
The final two were Year 2 teacher Jonathan O'Neill and deputy head Alun Randell, and the children decided it was Mr Randell who deserved to lose his locks.
However, Mr O'Neill had bravely agreed to get his head shaved if the fundraising total reached £500 and thanks to a £120 donation from a parent he went under the clippers too.
Mr Randell said the overall total had exceeded £870, which included mufti day donations, and thanked everyone for their support.
